The Police Department provides general law enforcement functions and has Officers trained in specialized areas such as accident investigation, criminal and drug investigation, traffic enforcement and juvenile crime. Municipal Court Services include Probation and Clerk of Courts support for our City.

* Located in the Department of Public Safety Building at 216 Mims Road, the Police Department is a full service 24 hours per day agency.

* The department roster includes 11 full time Officers and 4 full time Jailor-Dispatchers. Our department is supported by a number of part-time officers and jailor-dispatchers, as well as, 1 full time Records Clerk and a part-time secretary. There are 8 vehicles assigned to the Police Force.

* The department is also responsible for animal control with in the city limits. The department works closely with other law enforcement agencies in the area and is linked to the state and national crime information centers via computer terminals.
