Finance Department
Mission Statement: "To provide a full range of financial services to the public, other city departments and employees, with the highest quality of information and customer service."
Our department is responsible for the day to day business and financial operation of the City. Some of the services provided include utility account maintenance, accepting utility bill and property tax payments, dispatching utility crews, processing various license and permit applications, and preparation of insurance and payroll for over 70 City employees. The Finance and Administration Department coordinates the annual audit of the City and maintains financial records in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles and in compliance with State, Federal and local laws. In addition, our department assists in the preparation of the City’s budget, the investment of public funds, cash management and the issuance of debt. The Director of Finance and Administration is Stacy Mathis, who supervises 4 staff members.
